Silver Food was confirmed today as the market leader of the fish canneries in Morocco, thanks to its innovation center but also to its strategy of differentiation through quality, perfectly managed through the integration of the entire production chain and rigorous R&D controls.
Silver Food seeks to become one of the largest fish canneries in Morocco with an area of 73.500 m² in Casablanca and an annual production capacity of 150 million cans. Its state-of-the-art production lines allow it to transform the daily equivalent of more than 160 tons of seafood products, 50% of which are exported.
The company offers a wide range of tuna, mackerel and sardine products marketed under the brands Mario, Atlanta and Silver - among others - plus a range of distributors and private labels. These quality brands, widely acclaimed both on the national as well as the international canneries markets, constitute a benchmark in canned fish innovation. Silver Food has the widest product range of the market with products destined for end consumers, but also products suitable for professionals.
With a highly skilled team of over 1,200 employees (excluding the affiliate staff) , Silver Food has an international outreach and is present on all continents. It brings along a real added-value through its innovative products and leading-edge technological track record. Products manufactured by Silver Food are guaranteed by a HACCP- based quality system that was developed in line with the recommendations of the Codex Alimentarius.
Silver Food is also certified: IFSV6 (International Food Standard), FDA (Food & Drug Administration) BRC V7 (British Retail Consortium), Friend of the Sea (sustainable fishing label) and ISO 14001.
Aware of environmental issues, Silver Food integrates sustainable actions pertaining to energy efficiency, water consumption efficiency, fish waste valuation and transformation into fishmeal and fish oil, and the processing of its wastewater in its own treatment plant, in order to reduce its environmental impact.
