Certifications

International French standard

IFS Food is an international standard recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) for auditing the quality and safety of food processing processes and products. It applies to food processing and packaging companies. IFS certification meets the requirements of European retailers in terms of food product quality and safety.

Amfori BSCI

The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is one of the main initiatives launched by companies to improve working conditions throughout their supply chain. It is based on an amfori code of conduct that draws on the principles set out by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Global Compact and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Suppliers to BSCI members in turn undertake to comply with the BSCI Code of Conduct, and to be audited in this respect.

BRCGS Food certification

RCGS Food is a standard for suppliers of own-brand and private-label food products. The BRC standard takes a comprehensive approach to the integrity of food products, as advocated by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), taking into account food safety, the risk of fraud (Food Fraud) and the risk of malicious acts and/or sabotage (Food Defence).

Kosher certificate

The Kosher certificate is a document issued by certification agencies and the Grand-Rabbinat, in which a rabbi certifies that the products covered by the certificate (generally food products) comply with the biblical precepts of the Jewish religion in their manufacture and marketing. This document is requested by several countries where there is a large Jewish community representing a demand for kosher products, for example in the United States (on the West Coast in particular), the United Kingdom, France, Russia and Argentina.

FDA certification

FDA certification is issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It authorizes the marketing of food and medical products (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices).

Friend of the sea

Friend of the Sea is an international certification program for products from sustainable fisheries and aquaculture. Audits, based on the best and most up-to-date scientific data available, are conducted out by independent, accredited certification bodies.

Halal Label Morocco

This is a distinctive mark owned by IMANOR (Institut Marocain de Normalisation) certifying compliance with Moroccan standard NM 08.0.800 specifying requirements for Halal foods. This standard was developed with the Conseil Supérieur des Oulémas on the basis of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) standard, and standards already in existence in other Islamic countries.
